I think it would be very useful if we could be notified when someone offers on one of our trades. Usually I will have to either refresh the page or keep checking to see if someone offered on it. So adding the ability to get notified would make it so I would only have to check it when someone did offer on a trade.
And if some people don't want to get notified, there could be an option to toggle it on and off.

Can I expand on this idea slightly? On the previous incarnation of the site, we got a notification in the bottom righthand corner in the Main, Adopt, and Explore sections whenever we got a private message or a daycare egg. That does not appear to be the case in this site's incarnation and it's a feature I miss.
I liked being able to be notified the moment I got an egg/message while I was in the Click Exchange.

That would be nice, +1!
Edit: Throwing in the random note that the alerts like in Old VA have not been forgotten about & have a draft mock in the redesign. No ETA.

Notification for Trades
The trade system itself is great, and works perfectly fine. But one thing that I feel would be a benefit to everyone is to add a small notification pop up, like the original VA had if you received a new message, but this would also count if you received an offer on your trade.
I say this because a few times now I've offered on trades and they just sit there.... and sit there.... and sit some more. I left a trade offer once for 2 months and finally canceled it because there was no response. And the person was still on from when I offered to when I canceled. I'm not angry at them, they might've just forgot to check their trades.
And that's where the notification would be very helpful.

Re: Notification for Trades
This would be amazing!
I know I'm guilty of forgetting my own trades, aka I would absolutely benefit from a notification if someone makes an offer.
Ideally, an option to turn notifications off would come with it so you can individually decide if you want them at all, for everything trade-related, only for offers on your trades, or only on accepted trades. Kinda like you can already decide if you want notifications for forum-related things like quotes and pms :D

Ahh, how time tests one's memory. I even see that I commented in support of it. Whoops. I didn't mean to post a repeat.
