I have to say that I'm very very excited to have come back here to progress. I always like checking in every few months, and this time it was an excellent and welcome surprise! Thanks for all the hard work Yankees, and I look forward to seeing what comes out! I can't wait to start the collection journey over again, to be honest.

Well, as detailed in this Post here:

They are all still here, but not interactable or viewable at the moment.

Honestly! This is wonderful.
Even though I spent some real elbow grease to try and get some of the old promos and had a couple adopts that I'd be sad to lose, as one of the (relatively) newest members that actually stuck around, it sounds really nice to hit the reset button. It was beginning to be a huge drag to continually find out that my absolute favorite was basically impossible to get thanks to it being Gen 1 legendary.

Starting anew and really putting out the feelers and working on the kinks from the ground up could really help breath some new life into the place.

I could help spread the word a little bit once yah feel it's ready to grow.

And I have grown leaps and bounds in frontend development, though, have much much less free time available compared to before. An unfortunate flip D: But would be happy to provide any design feedback or style up any components if that's of any help during this revamp! A place for design contests perhaps? ;D

But for realz! This community has been great and really helped me during one of my tougher periods so I'd be happy to help out any way I could.

I am so sad. I know the site was pretty dead, but I just hatched my first batch of virtuadopts. I had starters named after my friends, and every time I came to this site I was happy to check in on them. Then I come on today to see the months of progress it took me to hatch my eggs was just gone. My starters, gone. All my progress. It is very disappointing.

@dilemmaly, I've spent literal YEARS, had several adopts in hightest level ranking, contest promos, Shiny Legendarys and I just found out they're all gone and it's not that much of a big deal. I think it's refreshing and I kinda immediatly started clicking to see what I'll get when my eggs hatch.

I can't say how long it will keep me here, but it feels fresh and I think that's wonderful.

That's because you had all those things and were satisfied by the progress you had made. All my hatches were "fresh" to me. But I'm glad you're happy with the changes I guess.

@dilemmaly It's not like they are all gone for good.
Currently, you can still logg on to the old site by adding "old." in front of the site adress, so you can take screenshots of your old collection if you wish to.
And Yankee mentioned that we will probably be able to migrate a few of our favorite old adopts, but the details currently aren't clear yet. Only thing gone are items and money, and those are easily recollected!

Well, it's not as if we don't miss the adopts friends gifted us over the years and such...
but really, the old version was more then a bit of a junk pile codewise, and the other option besides keeping that and doing a reset was a complete loss of the site.
So I rather be grateful that it still exists in some way, and as soon as it is clear how and how many adopts can be transferred people will do that I guess.

Yea that feels kinda unfair. The site has been down for some days and you get punished for not checking everyday if it's back or not.

There was a counter? Didn't know - but to be fair, I didn't visit the site for days and came on the first day of the new site just randomly^^°

Yeah...I looked it up when there was maintenance and when I looked some hours later there was a counter going down.
Also, the old site came also live on 1st of April iirc. So it wasn't that much of a stretch^^

I am sure this won't be the only time you can get shiny mew.
Do you by any chance have a shiny mew on your old account, KopierKatze?
You might be able to transfer it then as soon as we are able to :3
