I saw many weblogs on animexx.de [german website about anything related to anime and manga] (around 2011 if I remember correctly *edit*: 2010. I joined 2010 so it must have been around that time ;D ) with clickable Pokemon on them and because I liked Pokemon a lot (but at that time didn't play the games anymore) I looked into this whole adoptable thing on Virtuadopt, which I didn't know before and I was immediately in love with both xD I remember spending weeks and weeks of daily clicking peoples weblogs on animexx. At some point I also started clicking in the clickthread here on VA itself ;D And then came Yarolds and things got stressful in terms of having to adopt new eggs all the time and clicking and keeping up with everything.
It kind of still is, because I have less time now for online stuff than I had back then, but it's fun and I hope this site will never (again) be anywhere near "closing" or "dying" :D

I found it because of Destiny Moon and KöniginDerNacht in a german Pokémon forum called "BisaBoard". Simple, but that's it!
I still remember, how dumb I was (I was 12, I guess?) and I'm still happy, how calm and friendly people treat me here! Virtuadopt has some good memories with it. I grown up with it, at least, a little bit. :D

I just noticed that winner of Raffle wasn't chosen or it's just a bug with winners list?
I think there is a bug...there raffle should have been done a couple hours ago and reset, but my tickets purchased is still showing and I think the entire amount of tickets purchased also carried over

Short story. You can blame Haley and that Clefairy she had in her Serebiiforums signature.
That's how I got here, and now you're stuck with me.
Spoiler for more adopts inside:

I was an active member of DragCave during that time, and saw some Pokemon adoptables in other users signature. I'm just recognizing now that I registered in VA's second month of existence... I'm having my own 10-year-anniversary at the end of this month. I didn't even realize it's been that long... but apparently VA carried me through the stress of my Abitur, my vocational training, my B.Sc. and at the end of this year, my M.Sc. Let's see if it sticks till I get my doctor, too.

Cheers to everyone! For another 10 years of fun!

It has been some time, happy birthday VA!! ;P

BUT The virtuaraffle isn't working. It is already the second time it gets 6 hours and no new winner.

Happy birthday Virtuadopt! :)

I don't remember exactly how I found VA, but I was 10 back then (this month I'm turning 18) and I was active on a lot of adoptable sites. Now this is the only one of those sites I still visit and enjoy, especially because of the artworks. :3

I found VA through a signature of another member on a pokemon forum. I had been clicking on her eggs just as a guest for a while to help her out before getting curious enough to take a larger look at the place. The monthly/promo art is what really reeled me in. I started just before the re-release of the Vuldoom and them were put up as CE click rewards and that's what snagged me ^_^

I first saw some virtuadopts in a signature in a swiss pokemon forum and just adopted some eggs as a guest from time to time. Some time later I found a thread about VA in a german pokemon forum and found out that there are certain pokemon - like promos - only for registered users... so I made an account. That's almost 10 years ago... wow... the time has passed so quickly. 😨

I was invited by a friend, she just said "Sign up on Virtuadopt!!" 9 years ago, so I did and I still love it here :P

Hey. About the quests.... My quest just got resetted, and I still have megastone quests (this time, Venusaur), but I was hoping for a Alola-Form Quest. Is this a bug or is it completly random what kind of quest I will get? :(

I'm a little surprised there isn't a mega thread yet on what is showing up in the Raffle.
