Correct, everything counts whether or not it's actually active.

Migrations count, although maybe they shouldn't? You have claimed 6 promo codes, so the wording there should be changed. Counting migrations, you likely do have 2 promo Virtuadopts (Virtuadopts here meaning non-Pokemon)

The picture dictates what it is. I don’t remember that adopt so it’s quite likely that is the name that was used.

So from what I understand, sometimes unevolved adopts with everstones and possibly evolving and the everstone disappears? Anything is possible I guess but the item disappearing should be near impossible.
